Heating and boilers

Boiler installation and repairs

A new boiler and a boiler that has stopped are different jobs. Use the page that matches what you need. Each one explains that job and has its own enquiry. Nothing is booked or paid on this website.

Installation, or a repair

The two pages below are the full guides. This page only helps you pick the right one.

If you smell gas, follow the advice on the boiler repairs page and call the National Gas Emergency Service on 0800 111 999. Do not use an enquiry form for that.

Questions

Which heating page to open

Which page do I use for a new boiler?

Use boiler installation for a replacement or a new boiler. That page covers the choice of boiler and what a written quotation should include.

Which page do I use if the heating has stopped?

Use boiler repairs. Describe the symptoms, any fault code, and the make and model if you know them. The repairs page also explains the checks that are safe to try first.

What if a repair may not be worth doing?

Say so in the repair enquiry. If replacement looks more sensible, that is quoted as an installation, on its own page, rather than assumed.
